Will Ketchum is a character affiliated with Frontierland in Disneyland Paris.

Description[]

Will Ketchum was the sheriff of Thunder Mesa during the 1880s.  Following a series of disappearances and paranormal events revolving around Ravenswood Manor, he was appointed by the town council to shut off access to the mansion. Following an investigation, Ketchum and the council re-opened the mansion with Ketchum not understanding the reasons explained to do so but going along with it anyways.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad[]

References to Will Ketchum can be found in the queue to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad along with references to other citizens of Thunder Mesa. To keep in-theme with the story of Big Thunder, they all have similar pun-names intended to be reminiscent of the trains in the ride which have names such as, “I.M. Brave” and “U.R. Daring”.

Phantom Manor Closing: Strange Phenomena Observed[]

The sheriff appeared as an unnamed character in this video announcing the 2018 refurbishments. He is shown in this video, locking off the gates of Phantom Manor before nailing up a sign explaining the reasoning behind doing as such.

Ketchum was first named in this newspaper where his mindset regarding Phantom Manor and experiences with the investigation were revealed.

Trivia[]

  • The sheriff's name is a pun on, "Will catch him" or, "Will catch 'em" in reference to his state as a law-official.
