The Haunted Mansion Call of the Spirits is an original board-game by Prospero Hall and published by Funko Games which is themed to the Haunted Mansion.
Summary[]
Guests are represented by the bat-stanchions from the ride and use the rotating endless hallway to move around different rooms of the mansion including the Great Hall, the attic, the graveyard and the exit crypt. The purpose of the game is to collect the hands of ghost character cards with the highest values. Players have select amount of moves in each turn which can be used to rotate the endless hallway, pick up ghost cards, or move to a different section of the map. Throughout the game, the Hitchhiking Ghosts move across the board where they affect the hands of players with players only being safe while in Madame Leota's séance room where they are unable to pick up any cards and which takes up more turns to move across the board in.
Trivia[]
- Artwork for the game was used in the Magic Kingdom DLC for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
- The ogre's likeness to Grigori Rasputin is increased in this game albeit with colour-swapped blonde hair. This is in reference to how Marc Davis originally designed the character to represent Rasputin but had to change it due to Walt Disney fearing relatives of Rasputin would sue.
- The duelists' cards show them yelling at one another rather than shooting at each other.
