Christmas Card

The Residents of Halloween Town are the name of the collective citizens of Halloween Town from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). Many of them appear in Haunted Mansion Holiday to a variety of different degrees of prominence.

Background[]

The Nightmare Before Christmas[]

Halloween Town is a fantasy town located in a realm revolving around horror and the celebration of the holiday Halloween. All of the residents of the town are obsessed with the holiday and work to create it with them each representing/reflecting different Halloween figures, archetypes, iconography, etc.

In the film, the "Pumpkin King" Jack Skellington decides that they should take over Christmas resulting in the citizens making a horrific recreation of the holiday.

Haunted Mansion Holiday[]

In the backstory for this seasonal overlay, Jack and his fellow citizens of Halloween Town work to bring Christmas to the Haunted Mansion.

Appearances[]

In the Load Area of the attraction, we see a diorama of a variety of different Halloween Town citizens on display. The diorama here is made to resemble a Christmas card with seasons greetings etched into it.

Later during the Séance Circle sequence, several of the citizens appear on Leota's tarot cards.
