Pete is a villainous anthropomorphic cat created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. He is the arch-nemesis of Mickey Mouse and a frequent antagonist in the Mickey Mouse franchise, normally characterized as a cigar-smoking thug with a ruthless and tyrannical personality.
Description[]
Pete first appeared in Disney's early cartoon series the Alice Comedies in 1925, three years before the first appearance of Mickey, which makes him Disney's oldest recurring character and the first villain to be conceived by the Disney studio.
Haunted Mansion Appearances[]
House of Mouse[]
In the House of Mouse episode House Ghosts, Pete decides to plot his revenge because nobody found his costume scary. And in doing so, Pete unleashes a trio of Hitchhiking Ghosts to try and scare everyone away. But it turns out that his plan failed miserably and they scared him away instead.
Pete later appears in Mickey's House of Villains alongside the ghosts of the Haunted Mansion to take over the titular club.
Epic Mickey[]
In the video-game Epic Mickey (2010), there are multiple incarnations of Pete living in the Wasteland, a dimension which serves as a haven for forgotten characters and deleted incarnations of characters. An ancestor of the main Pete named Colonel Pete has tapes hidden within Lonesome Manor, the game's version of the Haunted Mansion.
In the game's spin-off material, there is said to be a, "Ghost Pete" who lives in Lonesome Manor or Bog Easy.
