The Nightmare Christmas Presents are monstrous gifts found in Haunted Mansion Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare.

History[]

In the Nightmare Before Christmas, the Christmas presents were created by Jack Skellington and the residents of Halloween Town when they decided to take over Christmas for the year. Oblivious to them, the toys horrified and tormented the mortals to which they were gifted, resulting in the military shooting Jack and his sleigh out of the sky. Following this, the remaining toys were taken away by Santa Claus who replaced them with those of his own.

Appearances[]

Haunted Mansion Holiday[]

Some of the stretching room portraits show the toys when they elongate. One shows Jack dressed as Sandy Claws, emerging from his sack full of nightmare presents. Another portrait shows a close-up of the vampire teddy bear, undead toy duck, pumpkin in a box, and what appears to be the monster under the bed. Another portrait shows a giant snake resembling a candy-cane, sprawled across a child's floor on Christmas.

Nutcracker

The Vampire Teddy Bear can be found all throughout the attraction. In addition to this, the Man-Eating Wreath can be found in the Conservatory and the Corridor of Doors. This is not to mention how the wreath is used as part of the logo for Haunted Mansion Holiday, being found on the plaque of the manor. Within the séance chamber, there is a seemingly possessed nutcracker whose mouth moves in synchronization with Leota's incantations.

Within the attic, a large sum of the toys can be seen in person. Most of these are in gift-wrapped boxes but there are still notable ones on display. As guests pass by, halloween-styled jack-in-the-boxes blast up to provide jump scares. Throughout the attic, the orange and black giant snake can be seen, with Jack's naughty-or-nice list hanging from its throat.

In the exit-crypt, Oogie Boogie (as "Boogie Claws") gifts the guests with his own twisted presents.

Trivia[]

  • In the attic sequence, there was formerly a cymbal monkey toy dressed as the bride from the original version of the Haunted Mansion. It came to be removed.
  • The jack in the box inspired toys in the attic are one of the only remnants of the Hatbox Blast-Ups which were removed in 2006. As Haunted Mansion Holiday predated the 2006 refurbishment of the attic, these toys were made to be counterparts to the still operational hatbox blast-ups and would pop up at passing-by guests.
  • In 2024, the clown patterns on some of the jack in the boxes were turned into skeletal versions of Krusty the Clown from The Simpsons and Jangles from Inside Out.
