Pm t miners

The Miners of Mine No. 39 are characters found in Phantom Manor in Disneyland Paris.

Description[]

This miners were residents of Thunder Mesa at some point during the 19th century and were likely employees of the Big Thunder Mining Company. According to their memoriam, as a result of digging too quickly and recklessly within Mine No.39 of Big Thunder Mountain, they triggered a disastrous dynamite explosion. While not explicitly stated, it is presumed that this blast killed them though the blast most certainly resulted in the loss of their hard-earned gold.

Following their deaths, the miners were given a makeshift monument and tomb within the Boot Hill cemetery adjacent to the haunted Ravenswood Manor. This tomb appeared to be constructed from the remnants of Mine No. 39, namely from its support beams, a shovel, a pickaxe, stones, and even some sticks of TNT.

Appearances[]

Phantom Manor[]

The monument to these miners can be found in the Boot Hill exit of Phantom Manor.

Trivia[]

  • Old drafts of Phantom Manor had the earthquake of 1860 which killed Henry Ravenswood and created Phantom Canyon to have been the result of a TNT blast coming from the mountain. It is unknown if this blast played any part in the earthquake but it is clear that this might be an allusion or remnant of the original script. [1]
