The Mayor of Halloween Town is a character from the Nightmare Before Christmas who appears in Haunted Mansion Holiday in Disneyland and Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare in Tokyo Disneyland.
Description[]
Origins[]
The Mayor of Halloween Town is the elected leader of Halloween Town, himself being a sort of wooden puppet creature. Being a politician, he is literally two-faced with his head swivelling between a jolly smiling appearance and a ghastly, paranoid grimace. He also is shown to hold little true authority in Halloween Town, with the town seeming to predominately be ruled over by Jack Skellington.
Appearances[]
Haunted Mansion Holiday[]
In Haunted Mansion Holiday, the mayor's likeness is seen in the Scary Christmas display within the Load Area. Like in the movie, the head of the mayor swivels between its two faces with the ghastly face being shown to have a top-hat with a candy-cane inspired design.
Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare[]

The Mayor's portrait in Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare
In Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare, the mayor can also be seen in portrait form in the corridor typically reserved for the Sinister 11 paintings. The portrait shows him with a ribbon around his hat and he holds a list, possibly the one he used in the film to assist in Jack's organization of Christmas. His portrait replaces the "Hatchet Man" portrait of the Ghost Host which is found there in the traditional attraction.
Live Appearances[]
In 2003, the Mayor was in a musical revue show outside of Haunted Mansion Holiday hosted by Ken Page. He sang a rendition of the song, "Put on a Happy Face" from Bye Bye Birdie in duet with the Clown.
