"In Final Rest M. Dibjib He Had to Eat That One Last Rib"
-M. Dibjib's tombstone
M. Dibjib is a deceased individual who is buried in the Family Plot of the Haunted Mansion.
Description[]
M. Dibjib in-addition to Esteban Pine were two people who were close with the family that owned the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans. Dibjib died of what was noted as being the result of eating the last rib of a meal. It is most likely based off the description alone that he choked to death, or that he died of heart-failure brought on by the excessive calories of the ribs he ate. He was buried alongside Esteban following his death.
History[]
The tombstone of Dibjib was one of four new tombs installed into the family-plot in the October of 2016 alongside the reinstallation of the original tombstones after their absence for many years. Dibjib's tombstone is a tribute to imagineer Michael Dobrzycki.
Trivia[]
- It is unknown if, "M." is intended to be Dibjib's first-initial, an abbreviation for the French honorific, "Monsieur", or the gender-neutral honorific of M..
- It is unknown what his relationship was with Esteban Pine that would validate them being buried side-by-side. As Esteban's epitaph affiliated him as having been a, "Loyal friend" is is possible they were friends but it is unknown if the epitaph is referring to the relationship with Dibjib specifically. It is also possible that they were family-members or romantic-partners.
