The Library is a room located in the 2003 film's Gracey Manor.

Description[]

The library is a large and grand room, decorated with hundreds of dozens of books. It also acts as a museum, as evidenced by taxidermy animals and artifacts from exotic locations. The library also acts as a music room as evidenced by a grand piano and other musical instruments stored in. In addition, the room also acts as a conservatory due to a number of indoor plants and a giant window.

A desk is located near two entrances. On top of it is a marble bust that acts as a switch which opens a secret passageway, disguised as a bookshelf.

History[]

This was the room that, in the past, Elizabeth Henshaw died in after being poisoned by Ramsley.

In the present day, Jim Evers discovers the secret passage from this room when he accidentally pushes the bust switch. Later, he crashes his car through the conservatory window here after getting trapped outside the mansion.

Trivia[]

  • The bust switch on the table is Italian poet Dante Alighieri
  • The red couch is an actual prop from the 1954 film adoption of the Jules Verne novel, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
    • Its presence in the film is a nod to the ride wherein another prop from the 1954 film is reused, in the latter's case, the pipe organ. Both items belonged to one of the 1954 film's characters, Captain Nemo.
  • The room incorporates the library and music room (seen only in the Walt Disney World version) and the Conservatory (all parks) from the attraction in its design as well.
