Artwork for the scene was created by imagineer Marc Davis as a scene in which invisible ghosts tended to the manor's kitchen.
Features[]
The scene would have had poltergeists cooking in the kitchen. A water spout would have cranked itself, a book would turn its pages, a knife would creek, and a kettle would pour itself into a steaming pot. All of this would be to the horror of a nearby black-cat. The footprints of the ghost would have been seen on the floor.
Legacy[]
Influences from this scene can be seen in the library in-regards to invisible ghosts doing menial tasks and books turning themselves. The foot-prints could have possibly influenced the moving foot-prints found in the Endless Staircase. The 2023 movie features a scene where invisible ghosts meddle with Gabbie's attempts to make breakfast for the other characters.
