Gentleman Ghost, also known as James "Jim" Craddock, is a DC Comics supervillain that makes a background cameo in the comic story "Doom of the Diva" as one of the ghosts eager to hear Baroness Elda perform.
Background[]
Debuting in Flash Comics #88 (October 1947), Gentleman Ghost has been portrayed as both an actual restless spirit of a 19th-century highwayman and a living person faking the supernatural with technology in various parts of the DC Multiverse. Originally a member of Hawkman and Hawkgirl's rogues gallery, with the supernatural incarnation having a grudge going back to their past lives, Gentleman Ghost has fought various other DC superheroes such as Batman, the Flash, the Atom and the Teen Titans.
Trivia[]
- The Batman: Brave and the Bold incarnation of Gentleman Ghost's origin story episode suggests that Craddock was the show's universe's equivalent to Jack the Ripper.
