The Garden of Wonders is a walkthrough attraction found in Mystic Point in Hong Kong Disneyland.
Background[]
Located in Mystic Point, Papua New Guinea, the Garden of Wonders is a garden decorated with artifacts from Lord Henry Mystic of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers. The artifacts within the garden all have seemingly mystical optical illusions in their designs.
Description[]
The Garden of Wonders is a walk-through attraction where you can see multiple art-pieces which feature illusions.
Artifacts[]
- Dragon Sculptures: Statues depicting a Firebird, a Qilin and a carp which resemble a single dragon when observed via oculus.
- Lemassu Base-Relief: These are three fractured carvings which when viewed from the right perspective resemble a single figure. The art-piece depicts the Lemassu from Mesopotamian mythology.
- Neptune Mosaic: This floor mosaic depicts Neptune from Roman myth and comes to life when observed.
Trivia[]
- The Lamassu is based directly on a relief statue on display in Chicago's Oriental Institute, collected from Dur-Sharrukin, the Fortress of Sargon II in present day Khorsabad.
