Freddie the Bat is a creature found in the Haunted Mansion of Disneyland.

Background[]
Freddie was a pet bat during the 19th century until their death in 1847. They were buried in the Pet Cemetery of the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans. It is unknown if those who buried him there were residents of the estate, lived in the area of the estate, or moved the bat post-mortem.

Freddie's tombstone is found in the Haunted Mansion's pet cemetery with the half of the epitaph reading, "We'll miss you" printed upside down as bats sleep that way.

Freddie appears in Roman Dirge's two Pet Cemetery stories, with a larger role in Night of the Ghost Fleas, helping Fifi try and get rid of a group of ghost fleas, only for them to end up putting an entire ghostly flea circus on her back.

- The tombstone's design resembles a similar unused one created for the deleted character of Velma Wingspan by Rolly Crump.
