Fozzie Bear is one of the main characters of the Muppet franchise.
Description[]
Originally performed by Frank Oz before being passed onto Eric Jacobson in 2002, the fuzzy furry fabulous Fozzie Bear debuted in 1976 in the first season of The Muppet Show. An inept stand-up comic known for terrible jokes and puns, Fozzie struggles with his ability to get laughs from people. Despite his insecurities, Fozzie maintains an optimistic attitude that he just needs to keep trying new bits and finding something that sticks and his friendship with Kermit and the others will always carry him through a bad day.
Appearances[]
Muppets Haunted Mansion[]
Fozzie Bear appears as himself at the Muppets Halloween party dressed as a banana and as "Gauzey the Hatbox Bear" within the Mansion. As Gauzey, the Hatbox Ghost's trick of shifting his head from his shoulders to his hatbox is incorporated into his comedy act, but he seems oblivious to the fact that he is indeed dead.
