Ethyl White is a character from the comics story "Night of the Caretaker's Dog"
Background[]
Ethyl White was a renowned performer of some kind in her life, being buried with a ring given to her by the Kaiser after a command performance in Austria that she was buried with. When her neighbor Topper McGurk, has his legs dug up and stolen by the Caretaker's Dog, she complains that the dog ran off with her arm, ring still attached. She suggests complaining to the Caretaker about it while noting that he's probably sleeping off an evening of drinking. Eventually, she and McGurk follow the dog's trail to find that he's been giving the bones to his motherless puppies. The two ghosts, seeing that its for a good cause, allow them to keep the bones.
