The Crowned Ghost, also known as the King, is one of the ghosts haunting the Haunted Mansion.
Description[]
The Crowned Ghost (whom most presume to be a King) has white hair and a shaved, wrinkled face; he wears clothing made from white cloth, a golden crown and a gold pendant. This spook is among the ghosts from all over the world who gathered to the Haunted Mansion.
Appearances[]
The Haunted Mansion[]
In all three versions of the ride, the monarch appears sitting at the table in the centre of the Grand Hall sitting beside a ghost crouching on the floor and a hairy looking ghost drinking wine.
Other Appearances[]
Ghost Gallery[]
In the Ghost Gallery, the ghost was said to have been named Tiber Garret, who was a man that attended parties thrown in Gracey Manor every year which were thrown by Mme. Tangerine. The crown was an authentic silver crown which was awarded to him as a prize by Mme. Tangerine for completing the annual treasure hunt every year.
Disney Kingdoms[]
In Disney Kingdoms: The Haunted Mansion, the Crowned Ghost can be seen in group images of the Haunted Mansion's ghosts.
Merchandise[]
Aside from cameos as part of depictions of the Great Hall, the Crowned Ghost is almost never featured in spin-off media, be they official or fanmade. He did make the rare appearance as a Vinylmation figure by Casey Jones where he was identified by as, "King".
Trivia[]
- An oft-reproduced promotional photo shows him with Yale Gracey. In these shoots, he was shown to appear in the Graveyard as opposed to the Grand Hall.
- His title as king might be confusing as it may also be used for King Leer or the See-Saw Ghost who is also simply known as 'the King'.
