The Candle Man or Candleman was an entity who would have appeared in the Museum of the Weird. In 2023, it began appearing in the Attic of the American Mansions to memorialize Rolly Crump.
Description[]
The Candle Man would have been a humanoid entity which would have appeared to be melting in-front of the eyes of guests. It would have had what appeared to be lit wicks on its head, shoulders and finger-tips and some concept art even shows it alongside other melting candle-men.

Seekers of the Weird[]
The creature appears in these comics under the moniker of the Candleman. It is used by the villainous Despoina to project herself in blue-flame, sending a warning to the protagonists that if they don't give her the Coffin Clock by the time the candle-man melts that they would suffer the consequences.
Haunted Mansion Holiday[]
In 2023, a small Candle Man figure was placed in the Attic with a gift tag for "Rolly" as a memorial to the Imagineer.

Trivia[]
- It is possible that the character was inspired by the 1933 horror film Mystery of the Wax Museum or its 1953 remake with Vincent Price, House of Wax. Both films revolved around disfigured and murderous wax-sculptors who boil people alive in wax to put on display in their museums.
- Storyboards for an unproduced direct to video Haunted Mansion animated film have the Candle Man serving a henchman role to the Burning Miser.
- In the 2023 film, there is a nod to the Candle Man in the form of a ghost possessing a candle held by Ben Matthias to hide from the Hatbox Ghost and slightly anthropomorphizing it in the process.
