Brian Belew is a character from the SLG Comics storyline "Mystery of the Manse".
Biography[]
Brian Belew was a hook handed and crooked New Orleans attorney and associate of Jean Lafitte that helped cover up the crimes of pirates hoping to blend back into society for the right price. Looking to move away from his past as Captain Blood, William Gracey came to Brian Belew, who ended up selling him an ideal hideaway in the form of a haunted mansion that became known as Gracey Manor.
Trivia[]
- Brian Belew is named for the comic artist of the same name who worked on part one of the "Mystery of the Manse" story.
- Belew's sale of the Mansion to William Gracey is one of the more notable inconsistencies of the stories presented within SLG's anthology series, with the earlier published story "Blueprint for Murder" having presented a story of Gracey commissioning the house from the architectural firm of Davis and Coats, though still presenting the two as the Mansion's first ghostly residents. With Gracey telling both stories, this could simply be the result of him being an unreliable narrator.
