Abigail Gracey was a human character who once lived in Gracey Manor (although only in the 2003 film's continuity).
Biography[]
Abigail Gracey was the wife of George Gracey, and the mother of Edward Gracey. She was the daughter of a state senator who was a former ambassador to England.
Abigail and George also had two other children who both died from scarlet fever. After they died, she became obsessed with the occult, converted her upstairs sitting room into a séance room and brought in a gypsy medium, Madame Leota, who used a crystal ball to contact the dead.
Abigail aged beyond her years and eventually died with her spirit broken.
Behind the scenes[]
- Abigail's only appearance was in The Legend of Gracey Manor, the backstory for the mansion in the 2003 film.
- The couple of George Gracey and Abigail was probably inspired by the couple of "George" and "Abigail Patecleaver", the characters of the "Black Widow" stretching portrait, who have now been retconned as George Hightower and Constance Hatchaway but had been previously thought (notably in the Ghost Gallery) to be "Master George Gracey Jr."'s parents.
